About The Event
This is the 7th in our Ruck-n-Brew series and we're changing it up! We are going to do the June challenge, courtesy of Monthly Rucking Challenges.
Here are instructions from them followed by what we'll do: "In addition to your regular ruck weight, put as much Peanut Butter (or canned goods) as you can manage into your ruck. Then, head off to your local food bank. The beauty of this challenge is that the ruck to the food bank will suck, but the ruck back to the end point will feel so much better!"
We will ruck from downtown Kent and ruck 2mi to the Freedom House with as much as we can carry then ruck about 4mi back. We will provide a list of the "most wanted" items soon and post here. The Freedom House is a transitional home for male veterans that Marjie and I have supported many times in the past.
After the ruck, we'll break bread and share a few beverages at a local watering hole in Kent. Location: TBD.
Where: Tannery Park in Kent, OH (https://goo.gl/maps/Tqvbd6V6xDCM4Tow5)
Time: 9am step-off from Tannery Park
Lunch: 11am-ish in Kent

This will be a great opportunity to get in some miles under weight and learn about rucking as well without any pressure! If you don't have a ruck, please let me know and I can bring an extra for you to use.
Requirements:
If over 150lbs, at least 20lbs in ruck (30lb if experienced)
If under 150lbs, at least 10lbs in ruck (20lb if experienced)
Full water bladder or nalgene bottle
If you only have a backpack at this time, that's ok! Get some weight in it and come on out! Rucking is simply going for a walk with weight. That simple!
