About The Event

On Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, meet us at the Kent State University Library lobby at 5:30pm.

For February, we are rucking 83 flights for the 83 firefighters lost in 2018. 83 flights = 1079 steps. After we complete the challenge, all are invited to join us at Ray's Place in downtown Kent.

Directions/Parking: recommend you Google Map the Kent State Student Center. Once there, there is a large visitor parking lot in front of it. Parking is free on the weekend. To the RIGHT of the student center is the tallest building in Kent and illuminated in different colors at night. That is the library. As you begin walking towards the library, veer left. The entrance is facing the Student Center. We'll meet there. If you happen to conceal carry in your ruck for some reason, please do NOT bring that with you. They are NOT permitted in the library.

One complete flight from basement to the 12th floor is 273 steps (counted twice by us!) Therefore, 3.95 flights or in our case, 4 flights will complete the challenge.

Weight Requirement: your standard rucking weight for events. Recommend 30 or 20lbs for those 150lbs or greater or 20 or 10lbs for those under 150lbs. Challenge yourself!

Cost: free but Rucking Challenges is the one spear-heading this month's challenge and there IS a patch involved along with random drawings for some awesome prizes. You can create a monthly subscription OR sign up just for this one a la carte. Your choice.
